Introduction
We’re excited to begin a new 12-week Discovery with Land Special Operations Forces focusing on the 77th Brigade, the Joint Counter-Terrorism Training and Advisory Team (JCTTAT), and the Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Effects Group as part of our ongoing contract with CDW UK.
This work builds on our successful ongoing engagement with Land SOF and reflects growing trust in MilUX to support some of the British Army’s most specialised and mission-critical capabilities.
During this phase, we’ll conduct exploratory user research to understand the needs, motivations, and operational realities of personnel across these units. We will uncover hidden pain points, validate assumptions, and reveal unmet needs – generating journey maps, ecosystem models, and prioritised design recommendations to inform user-centred innovation. These outputs will bring clarity and direction to capability development and de-risk downstream investment.
In parallel, we’ll undertake capability assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems, services, and digital tools across these units. We combine user research, performance analysis, and stakeholder engagement to provide a rounded view of how well current capabilities support mission outcomes, including where they succeed, where they fall short, and where optimisation is most needed.
We’re proud to support such forward-leaning parts of Defence, and we look forward to demonstrating how user-centred design can strengthen operational effect.
